Book her, right now! It's the best decision you will ever do as far as choosing a photographer . Sonya, was absolutely amazing. I hired her to take pictures for my daughter's pre- Quincenera shoot and she rocked it. She came in prepared with a changing tent, umbrellas for unexpected rain and the energy of a whole cheerleader squad. 

Not only did she take breath taking pictures, she made my daughter feel so special. Her enthusiasm made the whole experience extra magical and her fierce heart protected us from bystanders.

I've known of Sonya for ten years, but never hired her till recently. If you are looking for a photographer who is thoughtful, organized, kind and enthusiastic then you found your person. You will thank me later

Sonja
Sonja is simply THEE best! She's an incredible photographer but it takes more than skills with the camera & photoshop to excel with shooting teen girls...and Sonja has it all. She totally gets teens and knows how to get them to put down their usual armor and show their true selves. I wish I had been recording my daughter when she looked at the proofs. She was so unbelievably happy, and that confidence in herself is what she needs for the next chapter of her life. Sonja has done family pictures for us as well and hit it out of the park then too. She's a local mom who could charge way more but she's all about affordable value. Sonja is super communicative and responsive as well - made every step of the process so simple! We were having a baby shower for my son and daughter in law. They were really interested in also having a pre-baby photo shoot. The shower was coming up very soon, and I wanted to see if a photo shoot could be done at the same time. I reached out to a few photographers. Sonja Posin of Memories Made by Sonja got back to me very quickly. She was able to fit our photo session in before another job she had the same day. We discussed what we and the mom to be wanted to cover. Sonja gave suggestions as to certain items they might want to have in the photos. We decided on a one hour session that would start 30 minutes before the shower. Thankfully the rainy weather cleared up for a while. Sonja arrived early to prep for the session. She took several photos in our orange grove, and then several during the beginning of the shower. She was friendly and professional throughout , and did not hold up the party at all. She promised a link to the photos would be ready in 20 days, and they were ready in 11 days. The price she charged was reasonable in my opinion. The photos turned out great. I don't know where to begin. The whole process was so seamless, it felt unreal. I'm not one to to like to take pictures, but she made the whole process so easy. I am extremely happy with the results of my graduation photos. Sonja was so patient with me as I mentioned earlier this is not my thing but I really wanted to celebrate my accomplishment and she made every minute so worth it. If you need some amazing graduation photos or just any kind of photo shoot she is the one. We booked Sonja all the way from NJ. We were vacationing in CA with my husbands parents, siblings, nieces and nephews (14 of us in total) and knew we wanted family photos taken since it had been a while since we were all together. Sonja was great from the beginning - easy to communicate with and even helped us create a color scheme for the photos. The day of, she showed up early to get a better sense of what we wanted from the photos and what backgrounds we wanted. She was extremely patient taking photos of our individual families and then all 14 of us together. She sent back proofs very quickly and I love how the photos came out! Sonja was amazing! She was professional and punctual. She was patient and great with getting the kids to pose and all look in the right direction l. Sonja has great attention to detail and will notice things that other photographers miss like a shirt collar or hair that needs to be adjusted. She gives great guidance on how to pose so you don't feel awkward. The finished product looks amazing even with a large group and children with disabilities who are difficult to manage. I can't recommend Memories Made by Sonja enough! I couldn't be happier with her work.
